Georges Braque is a widely celebrated artist who is best known for his Fauvist and Cubist style paintings. Like many artists, Braque turned his hand to many mediums such as printmaking, sculpture and collage.
Lierre (posing) is a lovely artwork with delicate linework, having areas of fine cross hatching and directional linework present. Braque has drawn leaves from a vine positioned in all directions and has added a wonderful pop of cobalt blue to finish the work off.
This work is an original coloured Lithograph that is limited to 1500 and has been hand signed by Braque in pencil. This work is accompanied by a French Certificate of Authenticity from Le Pavillon des Arts, Art de Lile de France, Paris and has been included in published catalogues of Braque's work.
