Catherine Stewart
This is a lovely farm scene of 'Toganmain' that was painted when Catherine was living at Coleambally in rural New South Wales. It is a typical outlook of sheds with a scattering of hay bales captured as they have been made and left to dry in the Springtime. This is an usually muted palette that was typical at this time in Stewart's artmaking. She has added a couple of colourful blocks of colour to draw your eye along the hay bales to the horizon. Overall this is a lovely painting that would look stunning in any home.
