Norman Lindsay (1879-1969)
Norman Lindsay is famous for his delicate and sensual female nudes. His work exudes romance, fanciful stories and at times satire. He is well known for his etchings, drawings and paintings. His work is highly collectable.
Medium: pencil on paper, unsigned, Bloomfield Galleries label verso signed by Lin Bloomfield.
Size: 24cm x 16cm.
Condition: excellent for its age and has recently been remounted using archival materials.

Catalogue Note: Oenothea is a priestess and sorcerer in 'The Satyricon', a Latin work of fiction believed to have been written by Gaius Petronius in the late 1st century AD. Norman Lindsay created a series of 100 etchings illustrating the Satyricon.
