GRACE CROWLEY (1890-1979)
Australian artist Grace Crowley studied Cubism in Paris in the late 1920's and after returning to Sydney she went on to establish an art school with fellow artist Rah Fizelle in 1932. The Crowley-Fizelle School was located in George Street, Sydney and taught modern French techniques. Crowley is a highly regarded artist and many of her artworks have been collected by State Galleries and the National Gallery. Her artworks were recently featured in the Grace Crowley & Ralph Balson Exhibition at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, Fed Square,23 May 24 – 22 Sep 24. Quite frankly Crowley was a pioneering Australian female artist whose work is highly collectable, her artworks will only continue to increase in value over time and her work is featured in collections of the highest level in Australia.
This is a rare offering, Grace Crowley's work does not come along very often (especially in such good condition).
